Biography:
Dr Jenny Ip is a medical graduate of the University of Sydney. She completed her specialist ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital, and later fellowship training specialising in medical retina at Westmead Hospital, Sydney.
Awarded a prestigious scholarship from the Australian National Health & Medical Research Council for her PhD research on the Sydney Myopia Study, her original research findings have been presented both at Australian and international ophthalmic conferences, and published in the peer-reviewed literature.
Dr Ip is an investigator in several ongoing clinical trials in medical retina. She is also clinical associate lecturer in the Sydney Medical Program at the University of Sydney, and is actively involved in teaching medical students and ophthalmology trainees.
Her main areas of ophthalmic practise are treatment of age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, in addition to cataracts and glaucoma. Dr Ip is fluent in Cantonese.
