Biography:

Dr Godfrey (Goff) Quin is an Ophthalmic Surgeon and Medical Retinal Specialist.

His expertise includes caring for people with diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and other retinal disorders.

A graduate of Otago Medical School he was a resident at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before being awarded a PhD in diabetic retinopathy from the University of Sydney. After eye specialist training at Sydney Eye Hospital he completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Medical Retina in Sydney.

Dr Quin is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retinal Specialists. As a Clinical Lecturer at Macquarie University Hospital, Dr Quin continues to research new ways to prevent vision loss with both laboratory science and as an investigator in large clinical trials of emerging treatments. He publishes articles about retinal disease in respected scientific and medical journals, and attends international conferences to offer patients the best available treatments worldwide.

Goff highly values establishing a good rapport with patients, taking the time to listen to any concerns they or family have, and gives full explanations of their condition and treatment options.
